The session will provide an institutional update following the recent global Canvas incident, which affected universities internationally, including Oxford, alongside our regular digital education platform updates. The discussion will reflect on how different parts of the University experienced and responded to the disruption. The session will also provide an opportunity for colleagues to share feedback and experiences from across the collegiate University, including approaches used to maintain continuity during the incident.
The session will include:
an update on the recent Canvas incident and the University’s response;
reflections from key digital education platform teams;
opportunity for colleagues to share operational impacts, continuity approaches and any other feedback.
We will also provide our regular updates on Oxford’s major digital education platforms, including Canvas, Panopto, Microsoft Teams, ORLO, Inspera, and the AI Competence Centre.
