The Fellow at ALDinHE Programme at Oxford (F-ALDinHE Programme at Oxford) is a workshop to support staff who have roles supporting students’ academic skills development across the collegiate University to gain a nationally recognised professional accreditation with the Association of Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE). This includes learning development officers, and academic skills lecturers/tutors in colleges, departments, faculties or professional services.
The programme will support you to prepare an application to ALDinHE to gain recognition for your role. Upon a successful application, you will be awarded Fellow of ALDinHE.
What is Fellow of ALDinHE?
The Fellow of ALDinHE professional recognition scheme is managed by ALDinHE and provides pathways to accreditation for learning development professionals.
F-ALDinHE is an opportunity for you to gain recognition for your learning development work, join a network of peers across the UK and beyond, and support your continuing professional development.
Please note that the application to ALDinHE specifically focuses on substantive learning development practice in specialist job roles such as learning development officers, and academic skills lecturer/tutors.
If you support students' academic skills development only through your subject teaching, librarian role or other job role, you will not be eligible to apply for F-ALDinHE. Please consider instead registering for the Oxford Teaching, Learning and Educational Leadership Scheme which is accredited by Advance HE and recognises a broader range of academic practice.
How can I register for the Fellow of ALDinHE Programme at Oxford?
The F-ALDinHE Programme at Oxford is open to staff who have primarily student-facing roles which focus on developing academic literacies and study skills through curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular provision such as 1-2-1 or workshop sessions.
A minimum of two years significant experience of working in a learning development capacity is required to apply for F-ALDinHE accreditation. In the first programme workshop, we will support you to identify if F-ALDinHE is appropriate for your experience.
