We will explore student belonging, taking the ideas for fostering student belonging identified during our student and staff panel in April and placing them into the wider context of HE sector research on defining and measuring belonging, including research undertaken at Oxford.
We will review how the practical ideas generated in the last session might be more consistently implemented at Oxford in the college, department and library contexts, taking up a challenge posed by one of our student panellists.
The session will include:
Definitions
Data collection and analysis (some Oxford specific)
Collated tips and strategies from last session shared and compared with HE sector research and reports
Implementing practices/strategies in different university learning contexts (college, department, libraries, disciplines)
